The American Craftsman Style was named by Gustav Stickley and promoted through his magazine, The Craftsman Magazine.
The Craftsman Style was popular from the end of the nineteenth century through to the 1930s although it is popular once again today.
The term 'Craftsman' style is regarded as a style of 'Arts and Crafts' which started in England in the mind nineteenth century.
