Kelmscott House
Arts and Crafts Movement > William Morris > Kelmscott House
William Morris used Kelmscott House as his London Home from April 1879 to his death in October 1896. Kelmscott House is adjacent to the River Thames in Hammersmith, London.
Kelmscott House was originally named "The Retreat" but he later renamed it after his home in the Cotswolds.
Kelmscott House is now used by the Morris Society as their headquarters, although it is still used as a private house as well. See Morris Society for more information.
